On the 4 April 2024 at Doha racecourse, for the third consecutive year, Abbes lifted the 2000m Group 1PA Qatar Gold Sword. The son of TM Fred Texas and Raqiyah (Amer), aged of 7 and born and bred at the Grand Courgeon Stud for the SCEA of the Haras de Victot, is owned by Wathnan Racing. He is trained by Alban de Mieulle and jockey James Doyle was in the saddle for this historic victory.
