On 27 November 2019, for his second start of the 2019-2020 racing season, Meelad by Azadi out of Al Dahma (Amer) won the Purebred Arabian Novice Cup run over 1900m at Doha racecourse. Born and raised at the Grand Courgeon Stud for H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani, the 5-year-old mare carries the silks of Umm Qarn. She is trained by Alban de Mieulle and Ronan Thomas led her to her first victory in Qatar.
