On 12 March, at Toulouse racecourse, the son of Al Dahma (Amer) and Azadi, got his first win when he lifted the 1200 meter Prix Warda–Jean François Bernard. It was the third participation for the four-year-old colt who was placed in his two previous races, especially fourth of the Group 1PA Qatar Arabian Trophy des poulains in October 2017. Congratulations to jockey Olivier Peslier who led Meelad to his first win. Born and bred at the Haras du Grand Courgeon for his owner Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani, Meelad is trained by Antoine de Watrigant.
