On 26 July, for her second start, Texas Pearl by TM Fred Texas out of Al Dahma (Amer) got her first success at Pompadour racecourse where she lifted the 1600m Prix des Sables. Born and bred at the Grand Courgeon Stud for the SCEA of the Haras de Victot, the four-year-old filly carries the silks of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani and she is trained by Alban de Mieulle. She was partnered by jockey Olivier d'Andigné.
