On 8 September at Bordeaux Le Bouscat racecourse, Thaqib de Monlau by Yazeed out of Leila de Monlau (Nizam) became the first Yazeed's progeny to win in France, when he lifted the 1900m Prix Sergio Raffaello. The three-year-old colt, bred by Robert Bourdette and Arezki Goutal, carries the silks of Robert Bourdette and he is trained by Olivier Trigodet. Jockey Anthony Crastus guided him to his first success.
His sire, Yazeed by Munjiz out of Al Dahma (Amer), is a dual Group 1PA winner and he is standing at the Grand Courgeon Stud.
