Arrived at the Grand Courgeon Stud as a yearling and broken into by the Grand Courgeon team, Al Balagh by General out of Zabieh (Djebbel) got her fist victory of the season on 11 December at Al Uqda racecourse. The Umm Qarn filly, trained by Alban de Mieulle, lifted the Ras Mlaiji Cup, a local Purebred Arabian Handicap race run over 2200 m. Jockey Carlos Henrique was in the saddle.
