For his third start, the Whipper’s son, out of Divine Promesse (Verglas), wins the Prix de Montgeroult, a one mile race run at Chantilly racecourse on 22 May 2017.
Born in 2014 in Ireland, bred by Haras du Mezeray and owned by Haras du Grand Courgeon, the 3-year-old thoroughbred colt is trained by Henri-Alex Pantall. Jockey Pierre-Charles Boudot led him to his first win.
Guanacaste ran for first time in March 2017 and finished third of Prix du Berval at Compiègne. One month later, for his second start, he was the runner-up of Prix Empery at Saint-Cloud and, today he gets his first win.
