On 5 October 2018, at Saint-Cloud racecourse, Marid by TM Fred Texas out of Al Dahma (Amer) won the Qatar Arabian Trophy des Poulains, a 2000 metre race for three-year-old colts. Born and bred at the Haras du Grand Courgeon for Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani who is also his owner, Marid is trained by Antoine de Watrigant and jockey Olivier Pesler guidded him to his second Group 1PA victory.
