On 26 January, at Al Uqda racecourse, the son of Al Dahma and Azadi, won a 2200m Purebred Arabian Handicap race. Bred at the Grand Courgeon Stud for H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani, the nine-year-old Meelad is owned by Nayef Batal Al-Otibi who also trains him and he was partnered by jockey Prakash Akhade.
