On 23 March at Doha racecourse, Abu Thaylah by General out of Al Basheq (Dormane) got his second success of his young career when he lifted a 1700m Purebred Arabian Novice Plate. Born and bred at the Grand Courgeon Stud for the SCEA of the Haras de Victot, the Alban de Mieulle trained four-year-old carries the silks of Umm Qarn. Jockey Soufiane Saadi was in the saddle.
His sire, General, dual winner of the Group 1PA Qatar Arabian World Cup, is standing at the Grand Courgeon Stud.
