On 12 January at Doha racecourse, the colt Abu Thaylah by General out of Al Basheq (Dormane) got his first victory when he lifted a 1700 meters Purebred Arabian Maiden Plate. Born and bred at the Grand Courgeon Stud for the SCEA of Haras de Victot, the four-year-old carries the silks of Umm Qarn and he is trained by Alban de Mieulle. Jockey Soufiane Saadi was in the saddle.
Abu Thaylah's sire, General, is standing at the Grand Courgeon stud.
