One-two for the Al Mamun Monlau progenies

On 8 May 2019 at La Teste de Buch racecourse, two Al Mamun Monlau crops got the two first places of the Prix Djelfor, a one mile race for three-years-old colts and fillies.
The filly Um Taj out of Dyala (Amer), born and bred by Al Shaqab Racing who also owns her, got the victory. She is trained by Thomas Fourcy.
The runner-up was the colt Jabir out of Maleehah (Amer). Born and bred at the Grand Courgeon Stud for the SCEA Haras de Victot, he is owned by Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani and trained by Didier Guillemin.

Their sire: Al Mamun Monlau by Munjiz out of Salalah de Monlau (Tidjani) was bred by Robert and Marie-Ange Bourdette and he is owned by Al Shaqab Racing. He is the winner of three Group 1PA races. He his standing at the Haras du Grand Courgeon where he is a permanently resident.
